Current Europe Internet & Business Services Telemedicine Clinic (TMC) is the leading provider of teleradiology services to public hospitals and private healthcare providers in Europe. TMC’s team of radiologists uses its proprietary technology platform to distribute subspecialty expertise, and to help hospitals to reduce patient waiting times for diagnostic services.

The company is the industry leader, offering a superior digital and radio silicon platform that supports the complete range of wireless products including home, portable and automotive applications.
Current Europe Enterprise Software & Services FRSGlobal provides banks with compliance, risk management and analytics software to enable them to mitigate operational risks and to reduce the costs of compliance with Basel II, IFRS and Sarbanes-Oxley regulations. FRS has over 1000 financial instutions as customers, including 40 of the top 50 global banks.
Current Europe Semiconductors SEQUANS Communications is the leading supplier of subscriber station and base station chipsets for both Fixed and Mobile WiMAX. Sequans offers equipment manufacturers the most complete and powerful WiMAX chips available today, enabling them to build the widest range of high performing WiMAX network components.
Current US Internet & Business Services IntelePeer (fka VoEx) provides a fully managed, on-demand peering infrastructure to exchange voice traffic over IP or legacy TDM networks. Its customers are communications services providers, universities, enterprises and VoiP application developers. By combining a carrier-grade network with a rich store of user data and preferences, IntelePeer enables the creation of new voice-based Web applications.
Current US Enterprise Software & Services Resilience provides Linux-based, high-availability appliances that run best of best-of-breed security applications. Resilience partners with leading vendors including Check Point Software and Websense.
Exited Europe Internet & Business Services Adviva operates the leading European online advertising network targeted at brand advertisers. Using behavioural and contextual targeting technology, Adviva connects advertisers with the European consumers they want to reach. Adviva was acquired by Specific Media in March 2008.
Current US Enterprise Software & Services Daptiv (fka eProject) is the leading provider of on-demand project and portfolio management (PPM) solutions to enterprises. Daptiv clients include more than 700 customers and 100,000 individuals at companies such as BASF, BP, Cushman and Wakefield, Chase Paymentech, Honeywell, Merrill Lynch, Sprint/Nextel.
Exited Europe Semiconductors Chipidea is a leading provider of analog/mixed-signal semiconductor intellectual property and associated services. The company was acquired by MIPS Technologies Inc (NASDAQ: MIPS) for $147 million in August 2007. See Case Study.
Current US Enterprise Software & Services Kapow Technologies provides an on-demand application ‘mashup’ platform that powers enterprise solutions in reputation management, competitive intelligence, and content integration and migration at a fraction of the cost of traditional methods. Kapow has more than 300 clients such as AT&T, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, CSFB, Intel, Vodafone, Audi, DHL and SimplyHired.
Current Europe Internet & Business Services TradingPartners is world’s leading provider of fully-managed eAuctions. Retailers, manufacturers and government agencies use its on-demand services to reduce the cost of sourcing direct and indirect goods. TradingPartners combines Web technologies with deep product category expertise and a direct presence in London, Chicago and Shanghai to serve customers such as Kone, Caterpillar, Eby-Brown, BNG, and the NHS.
Exited US Enterprise Software & Services NetPro’s software extends and enhances Microsoft technologies to simplify the IT infrastructure. From Active Directory and Exchange to SharePoint and File Server environments, NetPro solutions feature an integrated architecture with a Microsoft-like experience and the industry’s easiest deployment. Netpro was acquired by Quest Software Inc in September 2008.
Current US Internet & Business Services MedeFinance provides hospitals and insurance companies with on-demand analytics solutions for revenue cycle management. It is being used by over 700 healthcare organizations in the US and UK, including Kaiser Permanente, Tenet Healthcare, Partners HealthCare and Triad Healthcare. See Case study.
Exited Europe Internet & Business Services Fluency Voice Technology supplies interactive speech recognition applications to large enterprise call centers. The company was acquired by Syntellect, a division of Enghouse Systems Limited (TSX: ESL), in June 2008.
Exited Europe Internet & Business Services Ubizen (Euronext: UBIZ) was a leading provider of managed security services to Fortune 500 companies. Kennet led the acquisition of Ubizen from the Euronext market in a take-private transaction with Apax Partners in early 2004. Ubizen was acquired in May 2004 by Betrusted Inc, which is now part of Verizon.
Current Europe Enterprise Software & Services Exony provides analytics-led integration and optimization software for multi-site contact centres. Exony empowers large enterprises to optimize customer experience across multiple channels. Customers include Alliance & Leicester, BT, Cable & Wireless, France Telecom, HBOS, HSBC, La Poste, Microsoft, Transport for London, UK Home Office, Virgin Trains, Virgin Media and Vodafone.
Current Europe Enterprise Software & Services Clearswift is the world’s leading provider of policy-based content filtering software, enabling 15,000 organisations to protect their networks and their intellectual property from email- and web-borne threats, such as viruses, malicious code and inappropriate use by employees.
Exited US Semiconductors Aarohi developed next-generation storage components and processors, used by systems suppliers such as McData Corporation to provide new intelligent storage platforms. The company was acquired by Emulex (NYSE:ELX) in 2006.
Current Europe Communications Software Volantis Systems is the world’s leading supplier of Intelligent Content Adaptation solutions for the Mobile Internet, providing applications, tools and platforms that enable operators, service provider or enterprises to deliver any content to any mobile device.
Exited Europe Enterprise Software & Services Aspective was Europe’s first application service provider (ASP) to implement, manage and deliver market-leading front office applications such as Siebel and Broadvision. The company was acquired by Vodafone UK in December 2006.
Exited Europe Semiconductors No Wires Needed provided IEEE 802.11b-compliant wireless LAN (WLAN) technology and products, including innovative solutions for residential wireless-to-broadband gateways. The company was acquired in June 2000 by Intersil Corporation (Nasdaq:ISIL).
Exited Europe Semiconductors Altitun developed and manufactured tunable semiconductor lasers for use in optical networking applications. The company was acquired in May 2000 by ADC Telecommunications Inc (Nasdaq:ADCT) for $872 million.
Exited Europe Communications Software Cramer Systems is a leading provider of operations and support systems software (OSS) to the global telecommunications industry. Exited Europe Communications Software Orchestream provided software to manage Internet protocol (IP) services across carrier and enterprise networks. The company went public in June 2000 on the LSE and NASDAQ and was subsequently acquired by Metasolv in January 2003, which is now part of Oracle (Nasdaq:ORCL).
Exited Europe Communications Software Paragon Software developed software to synchronize data between wireless devices and PCs over the Internet. The company was acquired in March 2000 for $540 million by Phone.com, which is now Openwave Systems (Nasdaq:OPWV).
Exited Europe Enterprise Software & Services Consul Risk Management is a developer of security auditing and administration software for the enterprise and managed security services markets. The company was acquired by IBM (NYSE:IBM)in January 2007.
Exited Europe Enterprise Software & Services Oxygen Solutions implemented market-leading customer relationship management and business intelligence software in the pharmaceutical and financial services industries. The company was acquired in September 2000 by Aspective Ltd, which is now part of Vodafone UK.
Exited Europe Enterprise Software & Services Monis, a spinout of the London Business School, developed software to enables finance professionals to analyze and value complex financial instruments. The company was acquired by Sungard Data Systems in August 2002.
